Hi, I'm Bob Waldman, thanks for visiting. I recently retired after 25 years of selling vintage and collectible cars. From the start, my choice of makes and models varied widely — I always just bought the kind of cars I'd want to own myself. That said, trends did develop over time. I have a good deal of experience with Triumphs, Volvos, Citroëns, and Mopar products, plus a special affinity for Mercedes. I've sold dozens of SLs, and know the W113 series particularly well. If you're considering a purchase of one, watch my six-part buyer's guide on YouTube before you do.
I also have an extensive library of driving videos on YouTube, and recently started a new series, "Retired Dealer Reveal" — long-form videos exploring the ups and downs of dealing with old cars. Some of you may have also seen my short-form content on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. I started making those reels after retiring in 2025, and now have over 300 posted — but I'm ready for a break from social media. Instead, I'm going to focus on long-form YouTube content that offers more value to the viewer, without having to consider short attention spans.
With nearly 1,000 cars sold over my career, I've learned some important lessons — and recently wrote an extensive Seller's Playbook to help people navigate listing their cars on bringatrailer.com. As one of the site's earliest sellers, I've seen firsthand that success there isn't luck; there's a real strategy that separates the sellers who succeed from the majority who don't. My playbook teaches that strategy. BaT pioneered the online selling model, and to this day, it's still the best choice for selling a collector car.
Over my career, the terms "hobby" and "work" were interchangeable. Cars are my passion and I was fortunate to be able to build a business around them. But over the past five years I've developed another interest: the history of Las Vegas. That interest led me to writing a short novel — historical fiction set in the weeks leading up to the Flamingo's opening in 1946. Part crime noir, part supernatural thriller, it's available on Amazon.
Of course, Vegas is a frequent destination for me, and my game of choice when I'm there is video poker. That interest led to yet another venture: designing my own line of these games. No real money is involved — they're free to play at cascadiagaming.com.
You're welcome to use the Contact form to send me an email. Whether your interest is cars, auctions, Vegas, video poker — or all four — I'm always happy to talk.
